One Night Can Change Everything - "One Lucky Night" Official Blog Tour #Review

One night can change everything…

The crew at Boston’s Brazen Head Pub hasn’t been very lucky in love. Can a mysterious visitor inspire them to look past old hurts and misconceptions and give romance a chance? One Lucky Night is a collection of five sexy interwoven novelettes by Aria Kane, Grace Teague, Ana Blaze, Constance Phillips, and Melinda Dozier.

Lucky Break by Aria Kane
Four years ago, chef Derek Chase walked out of Andrea Rivera’s life after a tragedy neither of them were prepared to deal with. When she’s called to the Brazen Head to repair a dishwasher, old sparks ignite buried feelings.

Lucky Star by Grace Teague
When her life is threatened by a mugger, Charlotte Price realizes she's in love with her best friend, Tommy Leung. The Brazen Head seems like the perfect neutral place to confess her feelings, but nothing goes according to plan.

A New Tune by Ana Blaze
When it comes to dating, Holly Hall has one unbreakable rule: no musicians. Not even gorgeous ones. Especially not gorgeous ones. Dating them only leads to heartbreak. So why did she let singer-songwriter Cian O’Neill kiss her? And why is she thinking about doing it again?

Lexi’s Chance by Constance Phillips
As a bartender, Sean Whelan meets all kinds of women every night, but none turn his head the way that Lexi has. She’s been playing cat and mouse with him for weeks. Tonight, Sean’s determined to get Lexi to quit teasing and take a real chance on him.

Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier
A bachelorette party Drink or Dare game pairs paramedic students, Rachel Robertson and Killian Whelan, in a flirting match. Soon, the dares threaten to turn their academic rivalry into something much more.

REVIEW

One Lucky Night – An Anthology – 3.75 stars

This is a romantic collection of five, interrelated short stories revolving around one, snowy night in an Irish pub in Boston. Each character meets an eccentric old man, gets lucky in love, and has some hot sex. This is a lovely collection which is like comfort food for the heart. Think shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, and boxty accompanied by a pint of Guinness.

Lucky Break by Aria Kane – 3 stars
New adults try to fix the mistakes of the past, and rekindle their first love. The plot is fairly complex to tackle in a short story, and deep rooted issues are resolved rather quickly. The heroine is both adorable, and strong. This feels more like an excerpt from a larger story, and I was left wanting the rest.

Lucky Star by Grace Teague – 4 stars
This is a friends to lovers storyline, which centers around two new adults. After being mugged, Charlotte turns to her friend Tommy for comfort, and then struggles trying to tell him she feels more than friendship for him. It's an engrossing story with a very satisfying ending. I cheered for Charlotte as she stumbled through her dilemma.

A New Tune by Ana Blaze – 4 stars
Holly fights her attraction to Irish, folk singer Cian every step of the way. She's been burnt before, and doesn't plan to make the same mistake twice. Fortunately for us, Cian is not only charming, but also has the luck of the Irish. The author lets us in on the beginning of what promises to be a wonderful relationship. Cian is a delightful morsel, and it's fun watching him seduce Holly.

Lexi’s Chance by Constance Phillips – 3 stars
The most flirtatious bartender at the pub struggles with his attraction to the most self-sacrificing woman he has ever met. These two people are polar opposites who find both common ground and love. Unfortunately, Sean and Lexi come across more as caricatures than people, and their attraction was a little hard to understand. It's a cute story for those who like classical romantic archetypes.

Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier – 4 stars
A bachelorette party provides the perfect excuse for two competitive students to explore their attraction to one another. The party game is fun, and I wish there had been even more details on the dares. The hero is wearing a kilt, which automatically adds bonus points to this review! It's a cute story, which proves once again that anger and love are closer emotions than we think.

Ana Blaze lives near Washington DC with her charming husband and three cats who firmly believe they are royalty. Ana is a member of Romance Writers of America.
