Hot Man-Love in Space - "To Clan and Conquer" by Tracy St. John #Review

Overall	4	Sex in space! Man love, aliens, and drama. This is a likable story with lots of hot sex, which makes me want to read the rest of the series.
Fantasy World	4	Ship, culture, challenges all feel real. Authentic, if easily won battles.
Tingle	5	OMG! They're at it again. These guys will screw at the slightest excuse. Male, menage, BDSM action. Very HOT! Unusual genitalia.
Characters	4	Well-drawn, unique characters which make you care about what happens to them.
Story	3	The storyline is fairly typical as are their challenges. However, it's enjoyable to read.

Summary

“To Clan and Conquer” by Tracy St. John is a version of Star Trek where Kirk, Spock, and Bones spendtheir spare time fucking like rabbits. Women are scarce as their race is in decline, and they work on a battleship patrolling the outer boundaries of space. So the men form three-way relationships with one another – clans. Forming a permanent, three-way relationship is hard enough, but try doing it while investigating mysterious attacks potentially from an aggressive alien race which smells like sewage.

Don't worry, Tranis, Lidon, and Degorsk still have plenty of time to get busy. I like a lot of sex in my books, but even I was tempted to skip a sex scene or two. The rest of the story doesn't get short changed by the sex, and I would enjoy reading more about these men. Recommended for male/male and/or menage fans who watched Battlestar Galactica.

Overall	4	A hot, espionage thriller provides the backdrop for an unconventional romance. Don't plan on sleeping once you pick this book up. Do plan on some personal love time.
Fantasy World	5	The setting is Croatia, and it is described in amazing detail – the scenery, the food, and the violence.
Tingle	4	Hubba, hubba! I wanted to lick the page. There's a bit of violence mixed with the sex, but what can you expect in an interrogation?
Characters	4	Zoran is the very definition of an alpha male. Carew is more believable as a spy than many heroines.
Story	3	The plot is fairly standard. Spy gets caught, feelings develop between captor/captee, mayhem results.

Summary

This story stars the adrenaline pumping on the first page and it doesn't stop until the last one. The end wraps everything up a bit quickly, but I was too busy reveling in the glow to care. I devoured this book in one sitting, and want the next one ASAP. Captured in Croatia is a total thrill ride with a strong heroine. Yes, the story is fairly standard, but I was having way too much fun to care. The only problem is now I want to book a vacation in Croatia, and I damn well expect Zoran to be there.

“Beckoning Blood” by Daniel de Lorne – Sink Your Fangs Into This #Review

	**Stars**
Overall	4	A vampire novel they way they should be written. No useless whining or longing to be human. They revel in lakes of blood, and play with humans like the toys they view them to be.
Fantasy World	3	The story moves quickly through the centuries. Nothing pulled me out of the story, but I really wanted more details of their various locations.
Tingle	5	From clandestine assignations in the woods to sultry nights in dance clubs, the sex ranges from tender to animal lust. Fabulous man on man action.
Characters	4	Good/evil twins alternate between battling others and each other. They're delicious. Other characters get shortchanged though.
Story	4	Alternates between each twin's point of view – sometimes confusing. Ending is happy for now, but it's certainly not the end of their story.

Summary

Yet another book where the marketing blurb doesn't do it justice. The heart of “Beckoning Blood” by Daniel de Lorne is the struggle between the twins. Thierry wants to get away from his twin and finds love in the arms of another. Olivier cares only for his twin, and wants his love returned. They are both shaped by a brutal father, and the horrific conditions into which they are born. Incestuous undertones abound as do mind games and blood. This is a vampire book you can sink your fangs into.

There are a few places in which “Beckoning Blood” falls short. The storyline of the twins' sister is awkward and unexplained. She randomly appears and interrupts the action. There are hints more will be explained in future installments, and that the twins are just the tip of the iceberg. That's a good thing because if there is one thing I want, it's more of their story. The next book is an automatic one click for me.

"Nashville Trio, A Music City Menage" by Joy Daniels – A Sweet Story with Lots of Heat and Heart #Review

Overall	4	Nice balance between story development and hot sex. Issues without angst. Think homemade lemonade and cookies with a side of lube.
Fantasy World	3	The honky tonks are pretty clean, and Granny's house is unbelievably quaint. It's a nice place to visit if not quite real.
Tingle	5	Hot, well written menage action. The man on man develops slowly, but the male/female action smacks you in the face from the beginning.
Characters	4	3-D cowboys instead of cliches. LGBT country singers. Joy Daniels does a great job of charting new territory for the characters except for the annoying best friend.
Story	4	Friends to lovers progresses smoothly with a non-standard ending, which I adored. First loves re-connect with fireworks.

Summary

"Nashville Trio" by Joy Daniels is the story of a hometown girl gone to the big city to make it big. However, the path to success is not smooth. Ashley tackles issues familiar to all women pursuing a career. How do you balance work demands with romantic relationships? What do you do if your work partnership threatens to become romantic? Ashley's path is even harder because she bares the scars of her mother's failings, and she is tackling more than one romantic relationship at a time.

Unlike most menage fiction, readers have ample access to the men's points of view. It's a good balance, which makes the story feel more balanced and complete. "Nashville Trio" is a heartwarming story featuring the next generation of heroes and heroines.
